Westbury School
A very warm welcome to Westbury School from our Head Teacher Nadia Chelpa
Hello! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the Head Teacher at Westbury School in Shropshire. It's an honor to be part of a community that's dedicated to making a real difference in young people's lives, helping them achieve their full potential and opening doors to bright futures.
With over 15 years of experience in the Special Educational Needs sector, I've had the privilege of working with children who face a range of learning and health challenges, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, and emotional difficulties. I understand that these challenges can create obstacles to learning, and that's why I'm passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
At Westbury School, we believe in building strong, secure relationships with our pupils, which fosters trust, engagement, and success. We create a safe and respectful environment where learning isn't just about what's in the classroom—it's about developing social skills, promoting healthy living, building resilience, and encouraging independence. We put our pupils at the heart of everything we do, and our curriculum reflects that commitment.
Collaboration is key to our approach. We work closely with parents, carers, the wider community, and other agencies to ensure that every pupil gets the support they need to succeed. This teamwork allows us to tailor our approach to each individual's needs, ensuring they make the best possible progress and are prepared for their future transitions.
Thank you for your interest in Westbury School. We'd love to meet you and show you around, so please feel free to contact us for more information. We look forward to getting to know you and your family!
Kind regards,
Nadia Chelpa

“Westbury School has been fantastic at understanding the needs of our young person and been able to support them successfully transitioning into the school. The Headteacher and the staff at Westbury School have worked hard to develop and implement a bespoke timetable which meets the needs of our pupil. In addition, the Headteacher has been a valuable member of the network and has shown her extensive knowledge of additional learning provisions and community learning in order to engage young people in their education.”
